"Love all, Spend less, Give more"
Everyone wants Christmas to be meaningful. Christmas is definitely the season for gifts and shopping. During Christmas, a lot of people go to malls to buy various gifts to be given to their friends and loved ones. People just need to spend more during Christmas season. The effect? --traffic jams, growing credit cards, debts, lots of to-do lists, etc.
Too much materialism in the world has diminished the true essence of Christmas: that of the coming of God our Father's son, Jesus Christ, into our world to save it from sinfulness and shame. Christmas has been trivialized into Santa Claus, his reindeer, Christmas lights and trees and toys and goodies to bring cheer to human kind on this festive holiday season.
As we celebrate Christmas in the relative comfort of our homes, let us not forget our brothers and sisters deep in misery over the loss of loved ones in battle; in accident; illness or crime; those languishing in prison; those with barely anything on their table to fondly remember the passing of this happy day and our fellow Filipinos abroad who have to toil and labor this Christmas.
Though we may not all have the resources to share with our less fortunate brothers and sisters, let us remember them in our prayers and masses this Christmas and let us extend little acts of kindness that will help them feel loved and cared for in this very important Christian celebration. For after all, we are God's people and our Father in Heaven looks at all of us equally.
The true essence of Christmas relies not on the gifts which commands us to spend more but on the love and unity that each one should build. Spend less to gifts and more on relationships!

"Equal rights, Equal Opputunities"
Everyone has his own right, everyone has his own opportunity.
As we all know, Philippines is not only known for its beautiful spots and famous men but is also known for inequality and discrimination especially women and the youth. Many Pilipinos are now having their rallies, especially in Metro Manila, mostly government employees, to express their feelings about their job. Many woen, especially thse girls at their teen age, were raped or discriminatewd but they can't have the justice for they are afraid. The indigenous people also have their rights not only the rich.
People must not only have equal right, but also equal opportunities. Opportunity to show what they've got. To prove that they are not that nobody but can be a somebody that can prove something to everybody.
This situation calls for the establishment of equal rights and commensurate opportunities under the law for all citizens -- with special attention given to children, women, indigenous and others that have the right to have rights and opportunities.

"Responding To Climate Change"
"Everything on Earth changes."
Changes always affect human lives. The most common change on Earth is the Climate Change. Climate Change, affects more than just a change in the weather, it refers to seasonal changes over a long period of time. Example are the change in the usual timing in rains and temperatures can affect when plains bloom and set fruit, when insects hatch and when streams are to the fullest. Extreme weather events like typhoons, floods, landslides, severe El Nino and El Nina events, drought and even forest fire can strongly affect different sectors like agricultural, fresh water, coastal and marine resources and health. Some observable properties that there is Climate Change is when areas which are not flooded before are now extremely flooded. When even if its March, there are strong typhoons.
But we can lessen the effects of this Climate Change by these easy tips. First tip, instead of driving a car, walk or bike, for cars and trucks run on fossil fuels, which release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The second tip, use compact flourescent light bulbs. This energy-efficient bulbs elp fight Climate Change becvause they reduce the amount of fossil fuels that utilities burn. Third tip, recycle and use recycled products. Products made from recycled paper, glass, metal and plastic, reduce carbon emssions because they use less energy to manufacture than products made from completely new materials. And the last but the most important tip, is to plant trees. Trees absorb Carbon Dioxide from the air and use it as their energy source, producing Oxygen for us to breath.
These tips are just small things but if we all work for it, we will soon find it easyto decrease the effect of Climate Change.

My Reflection: 2nd Grading Period on ICT IV
Second grading, is about tags, and tags, and tags..
I've learned a lot. I've learned that a web page is composed of many different tags. And so, when I created a web page, I had problems where I will insert the tag. I've learned the uses of different tags, and many more. And on this Second Grading, we focused on hands on activities. But sometimes, internet connection fails and so, others just spend our ICT period in playing solitaire or hearts.
Moving on, I will remember the lessons I've learned in this second grading period and I hope I can create my very own web page.

My Reflection from the Past First Grading Period
The first grading period of ICT IV became a difficult one for me for it turned out to be more on memorizations and quizzes. When I entered on the Computer Lab, I expected it to be more on hands on activities. I am not so good on memorizations but I tried my best in order to have a high grade, for this school year I've promised to myself to focus on my studies in order to have a place on the top honors even on our classroom only..

Yes! They Are The Heroes of My Life
In life, we all have that people that we feel are special and our heroes in some way. Each and everyday, there are people who in their very best efforts try to keep this world a safe place and who save our lives. For me, teachers are the heroes of my life.
In these days, teachers for me are the most important people in our community. Without them, there will be no successful men leading the countries that we are looking up right now. Without them, we will not acquire knowledge about everything.
Teachers changes our loves, straightening our bent attitudes. They treat us as their own child. Teaching us the lessons that we apply in our daily lives. They help us become successful men someday. They work night and day to be able to plan what will they teach on the next day. They make jokes to call our attention when we are busy chatting with our seat mates. They take examples for us to understand better our lessons. They make activities in the class where we can share our skills/talents that make the lessons more exciting. They have long patience for us and they have big heart too, for we can approach them when we need to share our problems.
Teachers are my heroes for they teach me how to do tings right and show me where I can find light. They listen to my explanation and praise for my best action.
For me, these things make teachers special and heroes in my life. And someday, I wanna be like them. To be a hero of someone even in a simple way.

FACE THE FUTURE NOT THE PAST
July 25, 2011; the day of the second State of the Nation Address of our beloved President, Benigno Simeon Aquino III. In this SONA, he stated all the unknown issues of the people from the past administration. He symbolized these issues as the wang-wang(siren).
The SONA was held at Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City. The billion peso spent by the past administration and its departments were brought out in this SONA. One of these is the PAGCOR's billion pesos only for their coffees to sell on their coffee shops at their casinos. In this SONA, the new Ombudsman was introduced, the former Supreme Court Justice Conchita Carpio-Morales.
As a result to this, President Aquino gained 44 claps from his audiences. He did not use any papers to read his SONA, it's actual and yet it was organized.
On the SONA of his Excellency, President Aquino, it only contained the issues from the past administration, not the accomplishments of his administration. I think it only contained more on issues not on the solutions for these issues.

Benefits of Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is one of the most effective way to ensure child health and survival. A lack of exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months contributes to over a million avoidable child death each year.
Breast milk is the most ideal food for newborns and infants. It gives all the nutrients they need for healthy development. It is safe and contains antibodies that help protect infants from common childhood illnesses-such as diarrhea and pneumonia, the two primary cause of child mortality worldwide. Colostrum, the yellowish, sticky breast milk produced at the end of pregnancy, is recommended to feed for the newborn at the first hour after birth for it is the most perfect food for the newborn.
Breastfeeding does not only benefit infants but also mothers. Nursing mothers enjoy a reduced risk for breast and ovarian cancer, osteoporosis and weight loss. It has also been proven that breastfeeding mothers have an increase in confidence and ability in caring for their infants.
One or more benefit of breastfeeding is that it is readily available and affordable. Unlike formulas, it's free! Breastfeeding mothers also decreases production of hazardous wastes such as plastic bottles and rubber nipples.
Truly, breastfeeding is the best. It does not only benefit children or infants but also mother and environment.

A Simple Wish

June 08,2011
Mr.Benigno Simeon C. Aquino
President of the Philippines
MalacaƱang Palace
Manila Philippines
To our dearest President:
First of all sir I would like to greet you a pleasant day.
Mr. President, I know that 6 years is long enough for the implementation of your projects. I also know that you are a very hardworking man and so I would like to be one of those people concerned on the demolitions of those squatters area in our country, particularly Manila. And so may I recommend that instead of demolishing those houses and leaving them with no more to go, I would like to recommend to know their provinces and send them there to live with their relatives, while recovering their houses, while those who don't have relatives on the provinces, maybe you can build a subdivision on their demolished areas then leave them with a small amount of money for them to survive. With this wish, I hope you would grant it and I hope it can help those people and the country.
Respectfully yours,
Jaquelyn Racca
